Remember to breathe
The U.S. election is happening tomorrow, November 3, and I am waiting with baited breath to hear the results. I mean that literally. I am holding my breath right now, waiting.
When I notice myself not breathing, I try to take a deep breath, but I don't feel quite ready for the onslaught of emotions that will come with that breath, so it feels a little hard.
I am feeling a big energy in my heart that I can't quite put a name to yet, or maybe it doesn't have a name yet, because it could become either celebration or heart ache, depending on the results.
And so I sit, noticing this big feeling, trying to breathe, and waiting to see who we are becoming.

How are you doing this election season?
If you, like me, have been holding your breath, let's both try to breathe a little more.
If you're deep in it, feeling all the feelings, know it's ok to give yourself little breaks. It's ok to conserve your energy and give your body time and space to recuperate. Take an hour to listen to an audiobook, go for a walk, or watch your favorite movie.
Good luck tomorrow, and if you don't know where to vote, click here.
xoxo,
Emma
P.S. Forward this letter to someone who could use a reminder to take a deep breath today.
